We are a community based not for profit organization that promotes music through Classical Guitar with public performances, community outreach and educational programs.

Mission Statement

The Regina Classical Guitar Society mission is to serve as a not for profit organization to promote classical guitar in all aspects for the community and our members.  We strive for excellence to serve all segments of the Regina and area population by facilitating top level educational and concert programming for the classical guitar. We seek out opportunities to serve and support our youth and those in need through our guitar outreach programs.

Membership Information

Our group is open to any person who wishes to foster the understanding of music and the classical guitar in Regina and environs. Anyone can become a voting member by paying the annual dues ($30 as of 2014). Membership dues can be paid at a meeting or through the mail.

We hold meetings and occasional social events which are open to the public. Members and guests may make presentations or give short performances. We encourage members of all skill levels to gain comfort with performance by playing for our understanding audience.

Members may also play at other, occasional events usually held in conjunction with another organization. These have included the Lieutenant Governor's Garden party and the Canadian Progress Club's Charity Auction for the Camp Circle O' Friends.

The Regina Classical Guitar Society was first created in 1982 and continued through the 1990s, when it presented a number of performances on community television, mostly in the Christmas season.

The current Regina Classical Guitar Society was reformed in 2010 with a new vision and a mission focussed on community involvement.
